Deadline Sweep Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 30, 2026

Deadline Sweep is a grant-alert newsletter for small Illinois towns, townships and fire districts. It is run by Dustin Mansfield ("we," "us"). This policy explains, in plain English, what information we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

How we use it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for other companies' advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services that help us run Deadline Sweep:

Each of these companies handles data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

How long we keep it

We keep your subscriber information while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we may keep your email address on a "do not email" list so we don't contact you again. Payment records are kept as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

Your choices

Security

We rely on established providers (beehiiv, Stripe, Resend and Google) that use industry-standard security. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect and who can access it.

Children

Deadline Sweep is meant for adults working with local governments. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. For significant changes, we will let subscribers know by email.
