Deadline Sweep Terms of Service
Effective date: October 30, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Deadline Sweep, run by Dustin Mansfield ("we," "us"). By subscribing to or using Deadline Sweep, free or paid, you agree to these terms. We have tried to keep them short and in plain English.
What Deadline Sweep is
Deadline Sweep is an email newsletter that lists open and upcoming grant opportunities that small Illinois municipalities, townships and special districts (including fire protection districts) may be able to apply for. The free edition is a weekly email. Deadline Sweep Pro is a paid subscription that adds extras such as "closing soon" deadline alerts and a full grant calendar.
Information accuracy: please verify
We collect grant information from public sources such as Grants.gov, Illinois state agency listings and agency websites, and we work to keep it accurate and current. But deadlines, amounts, eligibility rules and match requirements can change, and we can make mistakes.
Always confirm the details on the official agency page or funding notice before you apply or make decisions. The official source is what counts, not our summary. Deadline Sweep is for information only and is not legal, financial or grant-writing advice.
No guarantee of grant awards
We help you find opportunities. We do not guarantee that you will be eligible for any grant, that your application will be accepted, or that you will receive any funding. We are not affiliated with any government agency or funder unless we say so.
Paid subscriptions and billing
- Deadline Sweep Pro costs $15 per month or $150 per year (U.S. dollars), unless a different price is shown when you sign up.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period.
- Your subscription renews automatically each month or year until you cancel.
- If we ever change the price, we will email you before the new price applies to your next renewal, so you have time to cancel.
Cancel anytime
You can cancel at any time by:
- using the Stripe customer link in your receipt or billing emails, or
- emailing us at mansfielddustin1@gmail.com and asking us to cancel.
When you cancel, you won't be charged again. You keep Pro access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Refund policy
- Full refund within 14 days of your first charge. If Pro isn't for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full, no questions asked.
- After that 14-day window, payments are generally not refundable, including partial months or years, but you can cancel anytime to stop future charges. If something went wrong (for example, a duplicate charge), email us and we will make it right.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe and can take several business days to appear.
Your use of the newsletter
- Please don't resell, republish or redistribute Pro content outside your organization without our permission. Sharing it with colleagues at your own town, township or district is fine.
- Don't misuse the service, for example by trying to disrupt it or access it in ways it isn't meant to be used.
- We may suspend or end access for anyone who abuses the service. If we end a paid subscription for reasons other than misuse, we will refund the unused portion.
Our content
The newsletter's writing, formatting and compilation belong to Deadline Sweep. Grant information from government sources remains public information, and links to outside sites are provided for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content of those sites.
Limitation of liability
Deadline Sweep is provided "as is." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including a missed deadline, a denied application or lost funding. If we are ever found liable to you, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes to the service or these terms
We may update the newsletter or these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes to these terms, we will update the effective date and let subscribers know by email. Continuing to use Deadline Sweep after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Kentucky, unless the law requires otherwise. Before going to court, we ask that you email us first so we can try to resolve it informally.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
